How the Optimizer uses organizations
During Series25 data preparation, your implementation team created organizations that may sponsor and/or schedule events on your campus.
Organization information used by the Optimizer
The Optimizer determines which organizations to include in its processing based on the primary organization associated with each event submitted for placement. The Optimizer uses the organization name from each included organization and the partition preferences of the organization, if defined.

Organization Name (required) | Identify the organization. |
Partition Preferences (optional, but highly recommended) | Identify the partition preference(s) of the organization. Up to four partition preferences can be defined in order of preference. |
Organization partition preferences
Each organization can have up to four partition preferences (designated as the organization’s first, second, third, and fourth choice in the 25Live Administration Utility). Each preference can include
one or more partitions from the Location Partitions master list (see
How the Optimizer uses the partition preferences of events).
Typically, the partition preferences of organizations are defined by your implementation team during the Series25 data preparation process.

How the Optimizer uses organization partition preferences
When the Optimizer processes location placement requests, it looks at the partition preferences of the organization sponsoring each event and restricts its search to locations in the specified partitions.
| The importance of partition preferences Perhaps the most important factor in ensuring satisfaction with Optimizer placements is making sure each organization’s prioritized partition preferences are accurately defined. If no partition preferences have been defined for an organization, the Optimizer searches for locations in all campus partitions, which could potentially result in undesirable placements of some or all of the events sponsored by the organization. |
